Reading is an integral part of life. Reading is a bridge.
It is a pleasure to share my experiences through stories with all ages. Reading is exercise for the mind, it expands imagination, and inspires exploration of interests and abilities. Reading is also a personal activity because it requires focus in a rapid paced, oft-times unfocused world; it is the bridge to learning about our incredible world. I have always considered reading as a private sanctuary. Reading is a constructive activity with benefits that last a lifetime.
Storytime is for anytime.
Ups and Downs is a story about farm animals confronted with problem solving and miscommunication; challenges we all encounter. The animals spend the winter separated in the barn stalls and must find a way to communicate. Determination and imagination bring about a creative solution with unexpected humorous results. A classic lesson about miscommunication and friendship provides an opportunity for parents, grandparents, teachers and family to further discussion with youngsters about the consequences of gossip and miscommunication.
